Ken Kurland has been composing music his entire life. A native of New York City, he wrote his first song at age nine. Since then, he has written thousands of pieces in the genres of classical, new age, jazz, world, pop, and theater, most recently focusing on classical. To date, he has released 19 albums and two EPs. Ken was the composer for the musical "Delilah," produced as part of an international NYC theater festival in 2005. This starred Uzo Aduba of Orange is the New Black fame in the titular role. His song “Shaded Blue” was selected for an ASCAP Songwriters Showcase in 1990. In 2015, he won the award for Best Score for the short documentary, "Last Words" from the Best Shorts Competition.
